These terms govern your use of LazyCalAI ("the app"). By using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. The app is free

LazyCalAI is provided free of charge on both iOS and Android. There is no purchase, subscription, in-app purchase, or fee of any kind. Free usage may be subject to limits, and we may change, limit, suspend, or discontinue the app (or any feature) at any time without notice.

On iOS, and on Android if you choose to enter your own API key, you use your own AI provider account. Any fees that provider charges for your usage are billed by them, to you, under your agreement with them — we neither receive nor control those charges. On iOS the app supports only Google Gemini's free tier. You are responsible for keeping your API key secure and for all usage made with it.

2. What the app does

You submit a photo of a meal and the app returns an estimated nutrition breakdown (such as calories and macronutrients). Estimates are generated by a third-party AI service and are approximate.

3. Not medical or nutritional advice

Nutrition estimates are for general informational purposes only and may be inaccurate. They are not medical, dietary, or health advice. Do not rely on them for medical decisions, allergy management, or any purpose where accuracy matters. Consult a qualified professional for health or dietary guidance.

4. Third-party services

To work, the app sends your photo to a third-party AI provider. On iOS it goes from your device to Google (Gemini) using your own key on its free tier. On Android it goes either through our free demo service or, if you supply your own API key, directly from your device to the provider you choose (such as Google, OpenAI, Anthropic, xAI, Alibaba/Qwen, or via OpenRouter). In every case that provider collects, processes, and may share data under its own terms and privacy policy, which we do not control and are not responsible for. ⚠️ Do not submit private or sensitive content. Photograph food only. Do not include faces, documents, ID cards, screens, addresses, or any private information — anything you submit is sent to a third-party service. You are solely responsible for the content of the photos you submit.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

submit unlawful, infringing, or harmful content;
submit content you do not have the right to share;
abuse, overload, or attempt to circumvent usage limits or security of the app;
use the app in violation of any applicable law or the third-party service's terms.

6. No warranty

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of the app, inaccurate estimates, or the handling of your data by third-party services. The app is free, and our total liability is limited accordingly.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated terms.
